Shake...
01 January, 2004
[r]evolve announced today that the company
would be switching its motion graphics and compositing
systems from individual workstations running Adobe After
Effects to Apple's Shake 3 software with distributed
rendering across the entire company's computer network.
Apple's Shake software has been used on every film to
have won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects since
it was released over six years ago.
“We came to the realization that our existing
system wasn't offering us the performance that we needed.
After reviewing all of the available options, the decision
to move to Shake was easy—there is no system on
the market that combines such powerful compositing,
keying and rotoscoping tools anywhere near Shake's price
point,” said Charles Hinshaw, Creative Director
at [r]evolve.
